What Does being a part of the Production Team for the Showcase Look Like?
Being a part of a production team in the Stagefright Fringe Festival will be an opportunity for anyone that wants to participate. We have many production team opportunities to chose from and explore. Read about them down below!
Please note that being a part of a production team is the most time consuming role within the festival.
Roles
Director
As the primary visionary and unifying force behind a theatrical production, the director is responsible for shaping every aspect of the final performance—from the actors' performances to the setting and design choices.
It is preferred that applicants have prior directing experience.
Open to: Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors

Stage Manager
Stage managers facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments; act as a right hand to the director; oversee sets, props, lights, and sound; and call all technical cues during performances.
It is preferred that applicants have prior Stage managing experience.
Open to: Rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
Assistant Stage Manager (ASM)

Technical Director

​
An assistant stage manager is the eyes, ears and hands of the stage manager in the back-stage area. This invaluable person relays all of the cues to the back-stage crews, monitors the actors before and during the show, and relays information back to the stage manager so that he or she can make informed decisions.

A technical director needs to have creative vision that supports the director. They must be able to gather a team to assemble necessary set pieces, find props, costumes, design lights and sound!
Choreographer
A theatrical choreographer creates the dance elements in a play or musical, and often teaches them to actors, singers, and dancers.
Previous dance experience is preferred.

Music Director

Ready to Apply?
Working closely with other members of a show’s creative team, music directors oversee all musical aspects of a musical theater, including casting performers, rehearsing singer, and conducting the performance if necessary.
Previous vocal experience is preferred
